What is a leg, and what happens when one pushes?
A leg is one individual selection inside a parlay — for example, Lakers -4.5 spread, or a player prop for 25+ points. A push happens when that leg ties exactly (say, the final margin is exactly 4.5 points, which can't happen, but a whole-number spread like -4 can push). The pushed leg is simply removed, and the parlay pays out at the recalculated odds of whatever legs remain.
What is a same-game parlay (SGP)?
A same-game parlay pulls all its legs from one single NBA game — think team spread, game total, and a player prop combined. The legs correlate with each other, which is why sportsbooks price SGPs differently from standard parlays. How does a teaser differ from a parlay?
A teaser is a parlay variant where the sportsbook lets you move the point spread in your favor on each leg — in exchange for lower combined odds. Requires at least two selections. You get a cushion; you give up payout. A straight parlay uses the market odds unchanged.
What are the key promo and odds terms?
- Vig (juice)
- The sportsbook's built-in commission. Standard spread and total bets are priced at -110, meaning you risk $110 to win $100. That gap is the vig.
- Moneyline

- A parlay of four or more legs that survives one losing leg without a complete wipe — but at significantly reduced odds compared to a full winner.
What are the age and location rules I should know?
